Visa and entry information for the United Kingdom

Entry requirements for citizens of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Monaco, San Marino, Iceland, or British Overseas Territories

Due to Brexit, most nationalities can no longer au pair in the UK. However, those listed here are eligible via the Youth Mobility Scheme Visa Tier 5. This visa will allow you to stay in the UK for up to 24 months as an au pair.

 

You will need a valid passport, proof of £2,530 in savings, and a signed au pair contract to apply for your visa.

Entry requirements for citizens of Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, or Taiwan

Due to Brexit, most nationalities can no longer au pair in the UK. However, those listed here are eligible via the Youth Mobility Scheme Visa Tier 5. You will have to enter a lottery ballot through your home country as spots for this visa are limited.

 

This visa will allow you to stay in the UK for up to 24 months as an au pair. You will need a valid passport, proof of £2,530 in savings, and a signed au pair contract to apply for your visa.
