In this video, we will share with you what you can expect from the au pair experience and the incredible benefits of embarking on this unique journey as an au pair.

Start your au pair journey in beautiful and vibrant France! You will live with a host family, and in exchange for room and board, you will help with childcare and light household tasks. You will also receive a monthly allowance to supplement your stay.

👫 You are 18 to 30 years old.
💬 You speak at least a basic level of French and are willing to take courses during your stay.

The pocket money in France is between € 289.50 and €347.40 per month for EU au pairs and at least €320 per month for non-EU au pairs. This should be agreed upon and noted in the contract.
The vibes can always be off in your new house or you disagree with a family member. This is why you discuss a notice agreement. This is usually 1 or 2 months. Actually, this almost never happens because you get to know your host family and children beforehand, so you know about their family life. If you don’t like your host family, we’ll go look for another host family!
Yes! Au pairs are entitled to a certain amount of paid holiday depending on the country they are in. You should check with your host family for the best week to go. Traveling is a wonderful opportunity to see some of the best scenery your host country or neighboring countries have to offer and a great way to meet other like-minded young people. You can check the rules regarding holiday leave per country right here.
I became an au pair abroad because I love cultural exchanges and I wanted to experience it while becoming a member of a local family. I enjoy languages 🗣️, traveling ✈️ and engaging with other cultures. Being an au pair gives me that possibility daily. I learn a lot from the three children I look after and I’ve built a connection with them that I will carry in my heart forever. ❤️

Being an au pair allowed me to combine my love of children with my desire to travel the world and experience an authentic cultural exchange. My host kids and I bonded quite quickly and I immediately felt like their older sister. You will receive a set amount of pocket money from your host family every month.

In addition to the weekly pocket money you receive, you live with your host family, who ensures that you have food for all meals.
🌴 Holidays
As an au pair, you are entitled to a certain amount of paid holidays depending on your length of stay. We also recommend that au pairs receive public holidays off.

Nina.care is available for all your questions, from visa to childcare challenges, throughout the entire au pair program and will provide guidance and support throughout your stay.
